Sorgem Evaluation recently acted as a financial expert in international arbitration proceedings:
- in a post-transaction dispute between the seller and the buyer in the metal processing sector.
In this case, we acted on behalf of the seller (the claimant), as a party-appointed financial expert, to quantify the loss suffered, to respond to the opposing party’s arguments regarding the quantification of the loss, and to analyse the defendant’s counterclaims for the written and oral phases of the arbitration proceedings.
- in a dispute relating to the breach of a contract in the consultancy sector.
In this case, we acted on behalf of the defendant, as a party-appointed financial expert, to analyse the loss alleged by the claimant. We supported the defendant and their legal advisers throughout the various stages of the arbitration proceedings.
