SORGEM Evaluation assisted Digicel in quantifying the damages it had suffered as a result of anti-competitive practices before the Paris Court of Appeal (judgement of 17 June 2020). Digicel was awarded more than €250 million, including interest.

Following a decision by the Competition Authority in 2009 (No. 09-D-36) and a judgement by the Paris Commercial Court dated 18 December 2017, Digicel was awarded €181.5 million by the Paris Court of Appeal, in addition to compensatory and statutory interest amounting to approximately €68 million (judgement of 17 June 2020).

SORGEM Evaluation assisted Digicel in its follow-on action to assess the extent of its loss by applying the methods set out in the European Commission’s 2013 Practical Guide.

SORGEM Evaluation also assisted Digicel in estimating the compensatory interest relating to this loss.
