Vacancy for an intern / junior consultant in financial valuation
Founded over 30 years ago, Sorgem Evaluation is a subsidiary of the Sorgem Group, a market research group operating in France and internationally. Sorgem Evaluation is supported by an experienced team of around twenty staff members.
The consultancy services provided by Sorgem Evaluation cover a variety of areas: transactional, tax and accounting matters, as well as litigation, acting as an economic and financial expert. Sorgem Evaluation is a preferred partner of leading law firms and audit firms, as well as corporate finance departments. Sorgem Evaluation’s mission is to provide independent financial opinions, drawing on an experienced team comprising professionals with top-tier qualifications in their respective fields.
Assignments
At Sorgem Evaluation, you will be involved in the following assignments:
Valuation / Financial Engineering:
- business valuation (fairness opinions, reorganisation, mergers and acquisitions, etc.);
- valuation of intangible assets (trademarks, patents, etc.);
- management packages, carried interest, share options;
- purchase price allocation / impairment testing;
Litigation: providing support in industrial, financial or commercial disputes (expert reports, conciliation, mediation, arbitration) by developing economic and financial arguments to complement the legal analysis (in particular, assessment of damages).
Location
Our offices are located at 11 rue Leroux, Paris 16th arrondissement. Short-term travel within France and occasionally abroad may be required depending on the projects.
Ideal candidate
In your final year at a Grande École of business or engineering, or undertaking a postgraduate degree specialising in corporate finance, having already completed at least one initial work placement in the financial sector, you are looking for an end-of-studies placement where you can develop your skills in economic and financial analysis.
We will train you in our working methods and tools. You are meticulous and available, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work as part of a team. You have a very good command of English and are highly proficient in IT tools, particularly Excel.

Duration of the placement: 6 months with the possibility of a permanent role at the end of the placement
Possibility of a permanent contract instead of an internship, depending on the candidate’s experience and profile
