SORGEM EVALUATION has carried out analyses of the economic impact of Airbnb in France and Paris, at the request of Ahtop
Founded in 2008, Airbnb is an online platform for private accommodation rentals, which has experienced impressive growth very recently.
The city of Paris is particularly affected by Airbnb: it was in Paris that Airbnb held its latest ‘Airbnb Open’, the company’s major annual event, as Paris is the city with the highest number of properties listed on the site.
Sorgem Evaluation carried out market analyses on Airbnb, which made it possible to quantify the economic impact of Airbnb in France and to provide an assessment of the communications and analyses produced by Airbnb.
These analyses were submitted to Ahtop, an association representing professionals in the accommodation and tourism sectors in France.
