Valuations of unlisted companies for employee share ownership schemes

SORGEM Evaluation carries out numerous valuations of unlisted companies for employee share ownership schemes, some of which have set up FCPEs (Fonds Commun de Placement d’Entreprises).

AMF Recommendation DOC-2012-10, applicable from 8 August 2012 and relating to employee savings UCITS, states with regard to UCITS invested in securities of a company not admitted to trading on a regulated market, that the company’s securities must be subject to an expert valuation. The method for valuing the company’s securities is determined at least every five years by an independent expert, who must, however, define a new method in the event of a substantial change in the company’s business activities, or where an exceptional change has occurred in its circumstances.

In this context, we draw on our specialist expertise to value companies across various sectors (animal health, engineering, jewellery and watchmaking, retail, insurance brokerage, wealth management, etc.).
