Claire Karsenti, Partner at Sorgem Evaluation and President of the CNEJEF (Compagnie des Experts de Justice En Finance), organised a morning session on 22 May 2024 at thededicated to the new edition of the methodological guides on compensation for economic loss, featuring a presentation by Brigitte Brun-Lallemand, First President of the Chamber and coordinator of the economic and commercial division at the Paris Court of Appeal.

The discussion highlighted the wealth of content in the guides, addressing in particular concepts such as the causal link (analysed according to the theory of equivalence of conditions or adequate causation), exogenous factors, the concept of loss of opportunity in relation to uncertainties regarding realisation and valuation, and the quantification of unjust enrichment in cases of free-riding.
