SORGEM Evaluation acted as defence counsel for a company specialising in geolocation in a dispute relating to a marketing contract

SORGEM Evaluation acted as defence counsel for a company specialising in geolocation in a dispute relating to a marketing contract

The dispute between the IT engineering service provider (the claimant) and the company specialising in geolocation services (the defendant) centred on the number of the claimant’s software programmes sold by the defendant as part of its geolocation services. The defendant had ceased to pay the claimant’s invoices, arguing that the claimant was overestimating the number of software licences integrated into its services. After more than 10 years of legal proceedings, the claimant’s claims were dismissed.

SORGEM Evaluation assisted the defendant in demonstrating the economic rationale behind the contracts entered into between the parties and in presenting, in a clear and accessible manner, the product resulting from their collaboration; it also provided a substantiated opinion on the amounts claimed by the claimant and responded to the reports produced by the claimant’s technical adviser.
