On 23 November 2023, Blanche Feauveaux, a Partner at Sorgem Evaluation, chaired a round-table discussion as part of the Industrial Property – Strategic PI Seminar organised by Premier Cercle and Orange, at Orange’s head office. This provided an opportunity to discuss specific cases and share experiences of the financial valuation of intangible assets in the context of acquisitions, disposals or mergers and acquisitions.
Varvara Koulina, Head of Legal at Veolia Group, outlined the challenges encountered and the solutions adopted to value Suez’s intangible assets (particularly patents) during the Veolia-Suez merger, whilst Régis Saleur, Managing Partner at Supernova Invest, presented his perspective as an investor, particularly in technology start-ups.
